The word witch has historically belonged to the animists, the herbalists, the mid-wives, the boundary-keepers, and the practical community healers. This school is not a flight away from the earth, but a deeper descent into the soil, the seasons, and the bloodlines.
The Embodied Witch Academy is a non-dogmatic, ancestral, and experiential training program. Here, we strip away modern, commercialized “woo” to return to the cunning, practical ways of our ancestors. We approach these practices through a lens of decolonizing our magic—remembering how to connect with our own distinct lineages, learning from the land we actually stand upon, and honoring the deep physiological safety required to step into ritual and trance.
Embodied Witch Academy
a 10-month journey of ancestral reclamation
To honor the natural rhythms of the seasons—and to preserve the deep containment required for transformational work—the Academy operates on a structured 10-month academic cycle running from September through June.
Rather than fast-tracking spiritual practice, this container offers a slow, grounded descent across five foundational pillars:
* Phase I: Somatic Sovereignty & Nervous System Containment: Establishing physiological safety, unwinding chronic tissue bracing (psoas tracking), and building felt-sense boundaries before engaging in subtle-body or ritual work.
* Phase II: Elemental Somatics & Animist Medicine: Mapping Earth, Water, Fire, and Air directly onto human anatomy and physical tissue—settling into skeletal density, bone marrow, and the local land base.
* Phase III: Folk Spellcraft & Body-Led Magic: Translating nervous system boundaries into physical space through practical ancestral protection, threshold warding, hearth salts, and working with local botanical allies.
* Phase IV: Intuition, Trance & Otherworld Journeying: Using live acoustic frame drumming for brainwave entrainment (theta states)—learning to cross the hedge safely, commune with spirit guides, and receive direct gnosis without losing physical grounding.
* Phase V: Lineage Repair & Sovereign Integration: Blending astro-somatic tracking with ancestral unweaving—learning to process inherited tension patterns, honor bloodline wisdom, and step into grounded, sovereign self-facilitation.
Experience the Work Before Doors Open
You do not need to wait until Fall 2027 to begin working with these frameworks. Throughout late Fall 2026 and Winter 2027, we are hosting standalone, single-topic workshops and monthly circles to introduce core concepts of the curriculum.
Attending a standalone workshop allows you to experience our somatic methodology, participate in live drum journeywork, and test the waters before application doors open for the 2027–2028 cohort.
